Significant changes in our relationship with house plants occurred during the global pandemic. A 2020 article and a OnePoll study revealed that the average plant enthusiast has inadvertently bid farewell to seven house plants they've brought into their homes. A staggering 67% of these well-meaning individuals have even humorously dubbed themselves 'plant murderers.'
The common challenges that plant parents often face include ensuring their leafy friends get the right amount of sunlight, maintaining the delicate balance of watering, keeping plants thriving, handling the stress of relocation, and finding a responsible plant sitter when they're out of town. These struggles are entirely normal and, rest assured, they are surmountable.
As I often tell my child when she encounters difficulties, 'There was a time when you couldn't walk, but now you're learning to play the violin.' Similarly, your journey with plants is a learning experience. In my blog, I aim to dissect and provide answers to the most frequently asked questions. I'll also share insights from the plant world to make their language more comprehensible and enjoyable.
If your plant needs immediate rescuing or you're not inclined to wait until it becomes a dire situation, we can have a personal consultation—online or, for those in Randstadt, in person. I look forward to meeting you in the upcoming posts.
